Aboriginal people used to eat Budgies.

So tiny, not very meaty. It would have taken a lot of Budgies to make a pie.

I knew an elderly Italian man years ago, who said he cooked up sparrows in a pie (in Sydney).

We don't eat many eggs at all @Smc @Adge but I do like having chooks to eat the scraps and enjoy sharing the eggs. Pleased to report we no longer have any roosters.

@Faith-and-Hope, I've come across the tiny cooking before. Totally insane. 😄 I could handle that kind of fiddly work for something that's long lasting, but for a mouthful of food...um, no.

I think it’s hilarious @Smc .... and would be fun to do with a young child probably, but I wouldn’t b cause I would be afraid that they would take candles and try it for themselves without adult supervision ..... which I would have done as a young child, by the way .....
