Re: A long rave

Great to hear your confidence is high at the moment @Mazarita. Can very much understand why you might want to roll with that and get stuck into your projects while it is there 🙂

I too love cats for their independence and that you seem to need to earn their love, which in turn feels awesome if/when they choose to give it. Kitten's natural want to play and her energy is able to be channeled into games like fetch and obstacle courses. Not sure that will last so we're enjoying it while it is here.

Hope today is a good (and cool!) one for you. Lots of ❤😊

Re: A long rave

Hi @Mazarita  Damn!  I was awake at that time but didn't go on-line.  Sorry I missed you.  Hope you're feeling good today and got some rest overnight.  Haven't caught up on posts since yours yet, just putting this here in case you happen to be around.

Hi @CheerBear that soupy lentil dish might have been 'dahl' which there are many variations of but you will find lots of recipes for it on line.  I use taste.com.au a lot coz then the ingredients will be available at coles.

Hi @Bunniekins @Appleblossom @Shaz51 @outlander @Exoplanet @Zoe7 and anyone else around today.

Re: A long rave

Hi to you too @Adge

Re: A long rave

Morning @eth 🙂 How are you going this morning?

The soupy dish was maybe dahl but it was very creamy and liquidy, much more so than any dahl I've had before (which to be honest isn't too many). I'm going to hunt around for a recipe to try I think. We are very lucky here to have so many grocery stores selling lots of ingredients that major supermarkets don't tend to sell. So many spices!

Yesterday you asked about stove top recipes. I went through bookmarks and found these that I've enjoyed eating recently and thought I'd share

Pesto pasta salad (I ate way too much of this as a meal on it's own during xmas time!)

Zucchini Fritters

Vegetarian Quesadillas

Pretty sure they're all stove top ones 🙂

Re: A long rave

Thanks a lot @CheerBear  I'm ok today but my lights fused out last night in the wee hours and it's very overcast here so I'm sitting here in dim light.  Tried flicking the switch for the fuse in the power box but it blew again immediately.  Not sure what else to try and I think I'd rather leave it for bro or sil to fiddle with in case I make it worse.  At least my fridge is still on at this stage and power points, but none of the lights are working.  I have a lamp if I need it.

Planning to put 2 loads of washing away, change my bed linen, wash my hair, do my floor and get on the ex bike later and give the garden a drink if it doesn't rain.  Then I'm cooking for the 3 of us tonight.  Just remembered to get the chicken breasts out of the freezer so I'm hoping they'll thaw in time.  Any hints on speeding that up?   Planning to do balsamic mushrooms and chicken with either a bean, tom and olive salad or just steamed beans and carrot.

So it sounds like a busy day but most of those things won't take long.

How are you and how's your day going?

Hi @eth

Hi everyone.

Re: A long rave

That was a strangely timed post @eth. I put some toast in just after pushing post only to find the toaster not working, the microwave off and the kettle not turning on. I thought the fridge was off also as I couldn't hear it but it is fine. Had to check the power around the house (dodgy wiring), the switchboard etc and it's all fine except for the one double socket/point. Strange to read your reply and hear you have power issues too! Good that both of our fridges are working though! I'd do what you tried then leave it to bro and sil also I think.

Sounds like you have a few things to do today. Do you all work out dinners on a roster type system or as you go? Your dinner sounds delish! No idea with the chicken sorry. It's been a while since I had to defrost meat of any kind.

I'm struggling again with motivation today but will get up and going soon. I spent a while today dealing with some My Health Record annoying stuff which wasnt a great start to the do. Also nightmares last night 😏. They seem to be getting me a lot more in the last few weeks which is frustrating as it further interrupts sleep.

Today I have more kid stuff to do/encourage (room cleaning), some washing and maybe mow later. I'd like to do that one. That's about it really.

Hi also @Adge 🙂

Re: A long rave

Interesting timing @CheerBear with the electrickery!

Sorry to hear about your nightmares.  Hope they settle down.  I dreamed about my violent ex last night too.  Not something we can control unfortunately and it def makes the day after harder.  I've been put on an adrenalin-blocking med by my psychiatrist so I'm not waking in a panic state, but the dreams are still disturbing.

Hope your kids co-operate and your day goes according to plan.  Mowing sounds ambitious but it will feel really good once it's done no doubt.

Hey @Adge how are you today?

Re: A long rave

Haha electrickery! I like that 🙂

Ugh to nightmares. My medication was expected to help with it but it hasn't so far. Life stuff (friend stuff) might be making that worse though so maybe the med is helping them not be as intense as they could be. Who knows?!

I better get a move on with this day. Hope yours goes the way you'd like it to @eth and all 🙂

Re: A long rave

Hi @CheerBear @Mazarita @eth @Adge @Bunniekins Stopping by with some Heart for you all today - we can all do with a little of that each day.
