Hey @Appleblossom, sorry i haven't been on, just been a bit stuck and only saw your post now. dropping masks is a big thing,
The beautiful thing is you find yourself safe enough to do it,
The decision your amongst people you feel won't be judged by is no small thing and taking the risk of being vulnerable for first time in a social group takes courage for we all know can think you know a person then dont,
So cool you had a good experience and backed yourself in deciding it was safe to do so.
thanks for sharing & tag or i would of missed this
your comments always carry value on here & i found you to be wise, kind and understanding person
hope you have good sleep

@Appleblossom that is lovely to hear 🥰 well done! It sounds like you facilitated a safe space for others to also drop their mask and share vulnerabilities with each other. So lovely you are become more and more able to be your true self around others 😍🥰.

It gently unfolded. Some sharing by me over the year, to individuals and their sharing back of their own experiences. @AlwaysMyself yet, it managed to be a brief moment in the group and not overly personal nor distract from the purpose of the group which is singing. I am getting a bit woo woo… lol…. Broadening my style from my more scientific side. lol … the timing was right, and I was glad to be able to advocate in a leadership position. Still working on shedding shame and claiming authenticity in a few other groups. Gently bently
thank you @REDLINEZ750 somehow I try and put my experience to good use. lol… I have a vast richness of experience lol, even though I never made it rich. Enuffs enough.

I had to deal with a lot of conflicting interests and emotions, for me to be open about it.
Eg., Respecting my families of origin and creation. It was never just about me. I also had to function, work and study and parent. Now I am in my sunset phase I can be more free. For 30 years I was a piano teacher, which doesn’t quite jive with all the mental illness stuff in my life, but I was pressured to earn, and it was necessary, and I also gained more personal perspective on other people’s families. It is just the way it unfolded.
It’s good having you around.😀
though rocknroll has been a relatively small part of my life. It’s all a mixed bag.
