Re: Living with Ourselves

Hugs to you both @Sophia1 @Adge 💕

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Adge

I have some spare time on my hands, even though there are a trillion boring things that I could be doing inside.

Dust....hmmm will still be there tomorrow along with more as building new house commenced next door.

Husband washed all the windows yesterday. Thought at the time a tad hopeful considering weather. Rained today at an angle and guess where it hit.

Ironing.....I have hidden the iron..not really...iron more as needed these days.

Feed grumpy cat who has been hopeful since 3pm even though had breakfast. He will be fed shortly.

Your sunshine picture far greater than mine.....

In regards to your photographs @Adge

are you able to download (whatever the term is) from mobile to computer desktop?

Or do you use your mobile for internet etc?

If that is the case I would ask the question on the Hams thread I think that he is cluey about that stuff.

Henry X also seems to understand a lot about technology.

We use a pc so download the photos then attach to new message on the forum.

Daisydreamer responded to thread by meggle about peer support help I think called.

I responded back.

Daisydreamer if very helpful and caring in a lovely gentle way with people like myself who have no patience for computer system issues.

Hello @Adge

I have not forgotten about my promised reply.

I just have not had time or headspace to proof read my saved version.

I need to check it and amend some as I believe that I might have written too much which might identify me.

As you can see on the letter writing side I am in a right pickle.

Confused, confused with who is who, confused about where a post should have gone.

Generally confused.

So am attempting the peer consult thingy. If too hard which I have a feeling for me at present it will be, I shall call it a night.

Sleep well

Here is a green heart  and I have now been taught by Eeyore how to write on here with colour.

💚

Hello @Adge

I cannot find the dratted draft that I wrote to you and was wanting to proof read before posting.

I was congratulating you on achieving so much in your life with study and careers.

I had not realised that you had been a greenkeeper at a golf course for 7 years as well as being a qualified horticulturalist.

I want for you to feel better about yourself.

You have every right to as there is so much about you that is likeable.

Push the thoughts of family trauma to an area where it will be seen for what it is. Appalling on their part.

Be gone.

It has taken me such a long time and far too much energy wasted on whys and how can they not accept me for who I am when I have been  so very very careful to tread on eggshells around them.

I have not heard of ogre plants before.

They sound intriguing. I must look them up.

Have you been able to get out into the garden today?

I have been out in mine for about 2-3 hours as is so cold.

It started to rain and that did not stop me.

Eventually I came inside rather damp and cold.

One of the grevilleas is starting to flower.

I have bought a grevillea which grows very large in error. It is a Clearview David. 3m x 4 m.

Could this be planted and continually pruned to a smaller size? How far would the roots spread?

I also have been given some quality organically grown Banksia seeds that will grow into a towering tree.

Same questions as above.

I would like to keep them but if they cannot be pruned right back, I shall give them to friends who live on just under an acre.

Am heading over to Story Telling shortly

Keep warm and dry

Sophia with some more sunshine for us both 💛💛

Dear @Emelia8

I am writing to you to let you know that I have noticed you.

Loving the fact that you are visiting.

The best way for you to be for now, visiting threads.

No need to try to write, or respond.

Everyone wants you to be there for you and Holly only for now and however long you need.

We all know that you have so much grief which is a heavy load.

We virtually will help you with that load.

Sending in angels to carry the load for you.

Angels to help hold you and support you.

Angels to reassure you how much you are loved and respected  on the forums.

Angels to firmly tell you that you must not use any of your energy supporting others on here at this time.

The time will come later and you will know.

There is no timeframe. No clock.

Visit in the background when you feel up to it.

Sending you as much love and hugs that you can cope with.

Love Sophia ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hi @Sophia1

I had a spontaneous invite to my neighbour's place, this afternoon.

Nice company - We looked at her many Pot Plants (& Roses), which I love.

We had some sweet Red Wine (tasted like Lambrusco), Avocado on Biscuits - I took some Curried Egg Sandwiches (I bought out Shopping), which she liked.

Always Better after a Social Catchup - This was my 1st in several months.

"energy wasted on whys and how can they not accept me for who I am when I have been so very very careful to tread on eggshells around them."

Yes, I've been there many times - With my Relatives, & long-term friends who rejected me in Absolute fashion.

Yes Garden (See Above) - Not mine, but my neighbours. We sat out in her backyard garden, the entire time I was there (admiring her plants).

Yes you could prune Grevillea, to keep (maintain it) at a smaller size - How it responds to that, depends on whether it is a Bushy (compact) or spindly tree-like type.

Bushy compact type growth will look & respond fine.

More tree-like, with larger branches (spreading out) - No, would look terrible, & would not like it at all.

Roots shouldn't be wide-spread, & shouldn't cause any problems.

Banksia, tree-like growth type - No, it would not like being pruned heavily to keep it smaller.

Might die, if not would not look good.

Smaller shrubby Banksias, or Groundcover type Banksias - Yes would be fine with pruning.

Here is an example - My Melaleuca Nesophila (Not a good photo example) - Grows more like a tree, cannot be pruned heavily (or looks sick)...

Melaleuca nesophila - Showy Honey-myrtle

This is the Bull Banksia (Bansia grandis) - The only Bans...

@Sophia1This is the Bull Banksia (Bansia grandis) - The only Bansia that I have successfully grown (that didn't die). It's native to the Perth Hills area.

Mine is taller & spindly.

Cannot be pruned back heavily - Or would never flower, or have few flowers, & would look terrible.

Incredible what nature offers @Adge

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello Melaleuca had forgotten about that variety @Adge

Beautiful specimen the flowers resemble marshmellows or pompoms.

Great reading about your date next door the other day.

Sounds very relaxing and friendly.

A great way to have friends.

Sophia 💚 for gardening which I should be doing. Have to get up and move and get outside in the fresh air, cold but fresh xx
