Hello everybody,
I saw a friend at a coffee shop today which was lovely. Reading this thread just now has made me smile. The view walking down the hill back to my house made me breathe a little easier.

I have two dogs; Kate, the older, wiser mother and Yin, eight years old but just doesn't have the clarity of thinking that Kate does.
This morning I take the ash from the fireplace into the paddock where I sift it through a sieve (I've been burning old pallets and I have to remove the nails rather than spread them about the paddock). There's a breeze blowing and the ash is being blown in a long thin strand across the grass.
I look up and there is Yin, sitting, waiting for me off at a distance. Smack bang in the only spot in the entire paddock where ash is blowing. She is squinting her eyes to avoid it.
That made me smile 🙂

Things that helped me put my big girl pants on today. A virtual hug when I had no words and needed something to get me going to see my therapist. I was so unsure if I should see her or not. Thank you @Faith-and-Hope 💜😘. I cried through the whole session until there were no more words and then rested on her couch with my eyes closed until I could breathe again but I got there.
To @CheerBear for the kind thoughts and lovely pic. They made the trip home a little more bearable. 💜🤗. I’m so glad I didn’t drive today because a) I would have probably had an accident and b) I would have not smiled in the bus on the way home reading your post. One of the things that I realised today is that I don’t ever give myself a break when I do the hard things. @CheerBear, you reminded me of that today in one of your posts. I’ve since gone outside to check on my plants as I’d given up on living pretty much this week. They were sad and very thirsty but I hope I’ve rescued them as a start to trying to rescue me as well.
The things that helped me breathe easier was reading the forum and feeling the connection and the community here.... it helped me to breathe and remember I am only a human.
Lastly I smiled lots when I read other members posts on this thread sharing the little things that help us get through.
hugs to all 💜🤗 (sorry it’s a bit of a deep post but I am feeling very reflective just now).

@Teej this gave me a smile when it popped up. It reminded me of how cute you sound when you say this (will be on the meme) 💜
