how are you feeling today? @Sans911 Heart

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

About the same lil Sis @outlander. Sore and uncomfortable. I'm hoping I haven't pulled about some of the stitching in my stomach as I overstretched it to get out of bed. I can't see it as there is a dressing on top. But a nurse should be coming today to do my dressings so I'll ask her to have a look. Every move I make either pulls or stretches my wounds, which aggravates my uncomfortableness. I got up for breakfast with my mum but she's gone to do some things and I've gone back to bed. Mr A is in my lap and Jasper is at the end of the bed. It's a nice place to be right now.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

I hope you haven't pulled anything either, it does sound sore and uncomfortable. It must make any movement you do rather uncomfortable as well. Id imagine the anaesthetic will start to wear off more soon too? hopefully theve given you pain relief while your recovering?
Hopefully your nurse comes soon so itll put your mind as ease abit too.
In bed with Mr A and Jasper sounds like a nice place to be, im sure they missed you very much while you were away.
Are you watching a movie or something to keep you occupied abit? @Sans911

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

The nurse rang me not too long ago and they'll be here in a couple of hours. I'm on strong painkillers for a few days longer but they then stop. From then it's just simple analgesia. Just reading a couple of mags for now. I probably need to have a wash soon, and do a couple of other domestic chores.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

mm hopefully the pain wont be to awful after the painkillers stop. How long are the stitches in for? @Sans911
Reading sounds good for now.

You've probably heard this but in my stern lil sis tone 'Be careful with the chores, just a little bit at a time ok.. '

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Lol... Hearing you loud and clear there @outlander because my mother has said something similar. I just want to feel useful, and when my mother goes next week, I won't have a choice but to do it myself. It's only the dishes and putting a load of washing on (mum will hang out for me). Anyway, I can't move anywhere right now with a cat on my lap haha. Mr A is a clever cat.

My stitches are dissolvable which is good. So I only have little peices of paper tape on the outside.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing

Lol @Sans911 ok just the dishes and putting a load of washing on.
Good boy Mr A! 🐱🐈

Oh that good they are disolvable. Do they take about 10 days to disolve/ help wounds heal like the other sorts of stitches?
