Both groups are Tuesdays @AuntGlow , they happen to fall in alternating weeks. It works out well for me. I think I'm the only person who goes to both. They might give me confidence to try more challenging activities, or social rather than activity-based groups.

This week it was an exercise group.

Today was a big day for me, I had a visitor.

I guess I'm slowly trying to extend myself.

I can see you are absolutely trying to slowly extend yourself. You must have been so exhausted after the exercise group and your visitor. 😮💨

What does today look like? @Dimity

Re: The magic of tidying

Hello @AuntGlow I'm about to head to Funnings to get supplies - I have a handyman coming first thing tomorrow.

Feeling a bit stretched but maybe that's good.

Re: The magic of tidying

@Shaz51 hello gorgeous lady, I hope your day is going well and you and Mr Shaz are feeling better.

@Dimity I was chatting with my oldest friend (we've known each other 50 years) last night and shared your SIMPLE plan with her, she was very thankful.

@tyme my sweet, how are you today?

Re: The magic of tidying

My mum loves renovating and fixing things. What about you? @Dimity

A little stretch is good! Maybe you can do something to unwind and come back to yourself tonight?

Hello lovely @ENKELI! 💛

Re: The magic of tidying

Gosh @AuntGlow I wish I had the knack of renovating and fixing. Years ago I used to try but I've given up. But a couple of days ago I had a handyman for over 3 hrs. He did a number of small jobs.

@ENKELI I'm glad you like the SIMPLE technique.  I did something similar when sorting a lot of files and papers a few years ago.

Today I did some serious decluttering of a cupboard shelf. It felt significant. Hopefully I'll keep going.

Re: The magic of tidying

What is the Core 4 decluttering method?

The Core 4 Method was created by professional organiser Kayleen Kelly. It’s designed to keep things simple and strip decluttering right back to the basics. The four steps — Clear Out, Categorise, Cut Out and Contain — give you a structured plan that says exactly what it does on the tin. Empty out the chosen area, group them into categories, declutter the things you don't need or want and then rehouse them in clear and organised ways.

You do need space for the clearing out stage.

At present I'm chipping away one chore at a time, one item at a time.
