May you enjoy your day with your daughter. 
I'm sitting down with my boys having a coffee outside on the deck. Had scones croissants and fresh fruit for breakfast. Waiting for my daughter her partner and little Ayla. I cannot waut yo see her face when she opens the presents. 
it's a day of reflection for those that aren't with us tiday. My MIL and FIL and my beautiful niece. And to those that don't want to come over and spend the day with us (my parents) it's their loss.

yeah not first time, got a cylinder from bunnings ages ago lol normal ones 45kg, bunnings 9kg, was just to get me out of trouble last time, big ones $120 ea but way cheaper per volume , anyway now have small cylinder, think refills/swaps cheap. cost $60 inc cylinder think swap is 20 something @MDT

Sometimes I think of estranged members of extended family @Owlunar

Not in a bad way or even a good way. I just think about them and wonder what they may be up to now.

It's strange how at Christmas it can be quite an emotional time both in a good way and a not so good way.

We are headed off for buffet lunch. I avoid breakfast on Christmas day as I need to save room haha.

Being away from sydney is good for my mind and attention I think.

Will probably have a nap this arvo.

As each Christmas comes by it always feels a bit different. Some things are the same and others are not.

It's always a good time of year to take inventory

Christmas for me is so mixed this year.  Its my first Christmas since Mum died 5 months ago.  And its our 4th Christmas since we lost my little 11yo niece in a tragic car accident.  I miss my Mum and I miss how my little niece used to so love Christmas.  So, just like many others at this time of year, my thoughts are with my lost loved ones.  Feeling very melancholy at present.

But it is my little dog Holly's 11th birthday today, and I look to her for comfort, which she is so very good at giving.

My husband and I are having Christmas lunch with neighbours today.  It should be nice.  Been listening to Christmas Carols, which I really like.
