Lunch is over and everyone has left. Having some down time now before I finish cleaning up. It has been a lovely day - no arguments, no raised voices, no tension at all from anyone 👍😁
Had Mrs Brown's Boys on BBC all day in the background so a lot of laughs as well - my Dad seemed to particularly enjoy sitting back and watching as he was often laughing (not something we see from Dad often so it was lovely to see). I kicked Mum out of the kitchen - she only wanted to help but it is a very small kitchen and she really was just in the way. I had everything planned (bet that doesn't surprise anyone lol) and it was all under control. The rest of the family didn't need to do anything but enjoy the day - and that is what they did - so all in all a wonderful day.
My sister brught her dog too so of course there are toys everywhere. Her partner tried to stop him getting to the toys but once I told him that was what he normally did he let him play. Both he and Toby were so good all day - Toby wore his little reindeer outfit until I thought it was too warm for him and took it off. He now has a red ribbon around his neck ...at one stage he had it around his ear from encouragement from my sister to give him pigtails ...little Tobes just sat there and let me tie the ribbons in his ears - he is such a good boy 🐶
