hello shaz and everyone else here. I had an ok christmas. Rather restful, then out for Christmas dinner.
Today I did some cat sitting, and I just randomly started crying on the bus on the way there. Still no idea what I was crying about. Being with the cat, and just sitting down reading a book was nice though.

@Hope4me, @Zoe7 and everyone else here who looked out for me, I am glad to say that I got through Christmas Day without too much fuss. Yes, as usual I felt quite lonely, but I just went about my day without trying to think of anything else. I did end up shedding a few tears in my bed just before I fell asleep, but nothing too dramatic.

Anyway, I am glad that the day is past me, and I feel quite upbeat today. Discovering this forum has been a real boon for me. Thanks again to everyone!

It sounds like you have had a nice couple of days despite the crying @cats_pajamas and spending time with a cat is always a lovely thing to do

It is lovely to have you here @aficionado and glad you got through the day even though you had a few tears. It is that time of year when things can really get on top of us so to hear you got through relatively okay is a bonus. Hope to have you here NYE for our forum party - that one will go all night lol

I cry all the time these days, but I usually have some idea of what I'm crying about. Today I didn't. But spending time with the cat was beautiful, and I'll be back to spend more time with him tomorrow, which I am looking forward to! Hopefully no more bus crying!

Tell me more about this forum party on NYE!? I don't like going out and celebrating NYE, all the clubs and pubs are way too crowded and noisy, and to me, NYD is just another day, so I'll be staying at home. Would love to stay up and chat and get to know this community a bit more!

We have had some massive NYE parties on here where many people have stayed up for the majority of the night. It is a great time for us all to get together, share some laughs and a virtual party as for many it is a time that we are alone. Together we have some fun and get a little silly while still enjoying the company of our forum family. It would be great to have you join us also - all you need to bring is yourself and the willingness to have a good time with your forum friends @cats_pajamas - the rest will take care of itself.
