Thanks for sharing and tagging @Zoe7 .
Awwww. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident! That sounds terrible! First it was your hand and now your ankle. Please look after yourself. I want to cotton wrap you!
So so glad to hear from you.
As for the little poppit, he's probably doing all he knows. Do you have external staff who can come and support with behaviour assessments and plans? I hope the family are supportive.
I know first hand how hard working with little ones is. Just remember, you are making a huge difference to their lives. I wonder if they placed that student with you because they know you'll have the patience and experience?
Are you Grade 1 this year?

That sounds lovely @Eve7 I love England and Wales - actually intended to go back to both England and Wales to stay for a while many moons ago but life took a different turn.
@tyme We have a lot of things in place for my little man. He was specifically placed with me as we had built up a great relationship last year as I often had duty where he played and I also went into his class a lot when I could. He is an extremely intelligent boy so our conversations are amazing but it does get tiring sometimes when he doesn't get what he wants within the boundaries we have set. I am usually very patient with him but the last couple of weeks have been challenging - the break has certainly come at a good time for all of us.
@Snowie We only have until next Wednesday off then we are back for one and a half weeks before the longer term break. I do want to get a lot done over the next few days so I do not have as much in the school holidays to do.

Awwwww โฆ. @Zoe7 . So painful in so many directions at once. I have a super-bright grandson. Takes a lot of energy and patience to keep up with him. I can relate to your little man ! And with a brace on โฆ.. get well soon Hon โฃ๏ธ. I am glad there are holidays, and then holidays beyond. Sounds like you need all of them to rest up and recover ๐๐ฆ๐. Look after those wings lโil butterfly.
Hi @Snowie @Shaz51 @Eve7 @tyme and anyone else around. Last year was very exhausting. Really full-on on so many fronts, and I ended up sick for months with a sinus infection. Still not past it, but better every day. I have taken a break from studies to try to rest, but man o man life is still really challenging.
I am getting back out into my garden. Itโs a healing place for me, to work in, to sit in. Lotsa rain last week with a cyclone passing close by, but that was beautiful too โฆ.. something about water calls to me.
Hops yโall are keeping as well as you can. Love England and Wales too @Eve7 . I will have to live vicariously by your trip !!
Love n hugs -

My little man is so special in so many ways @Faith-and-Hope I do adore him - and he me - so we have a really special relationship ...but he can be very hard work at times. I have to share - he gave me a bag of easter eggs the other day (which on it's own was special) but then his Dad told me he bought them with his own pocket money - and I had a tear in my eyes ...and so did his Dad. I was going to share them with him but I did not have the kids for the last few lessons of the day so was unable to. I will repay him another way when we return to school.
@Appleblossom I am so lucky to work where I do and have the most amazing kids. I do love my job but have been struggling a bit for a while. Hopefully the upcoming breaks will be a reset for me and I can get back to the joy I usually get from my work.

@Zoe7 , I'm sure he was placed with you strategically. But yes, I can see how draining it can be after a term. I hope you can revive over this break and go back with fresh eyes. What a blessing that the children have you to help out.
It's also so good to hear what a great support your teaching team is. Are you in a government school or independent? Is it much different where you are?
