Thanks for the tag @AuntGlow
I know we all have an Inner Child. It is somewhere inside of us.
I think my problem is letting it go free. Its been awhile since I let it out.

@Snowie Know what you mean. I can’t release my inner child. Hope you are ok today.

@GezzaP I hear you, and I can't imagine how painful this has all been for you to go through... please know that we are here to support you and that healing is possible. If connecting to your inner child doesn't feel safe right now, that's okay. Maybe you can connect to things that simply make you smile? 💛

@AuntGlow i like the creativity in DnD / role play games. You can create a character and shape its personality, skills (to a degree), and actions to your liking. You can do silly things if you want. You can think up clever and innovative ideas on how to solve a problem. You can hypothesise about the storyline or where it might be going. And of course there is an element of random luck in the dice roll which may send things haywire or be astoundingly unexpected success. I get to use my creative, analytical, problem-solving, shit-stiring and quick-witted mind.
@GezzaP well done on getting the basics done. 😊 I know its not easy and sometimes requires a lot of self-discipline to do it when not feeling good. I also have a lot of problems with cooking or eating when feeling depressed; often I dont even want to microwave a frozen meal, or put spread on some bread. Having a premade option in the fridge really helps me for this - a sandwich, or cheese and biscuits, or something defrosted and quick to microwave. Or a musli bar. Not sure if that would help you at all.
Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.

@AlwaysMyself didn’t make it as far as the shower today and really struggled to have breakfast and take my meds. Feeling like shit this morning.

@AuntGlow this arrived today...
I haven't done lego since I was a child. I've been contemplating buying myself a set and just decided to go for it. I think this counts as play?

Sorry to hear the feelings persisted today as well @GezzaP . *hugs* (if you like virtual hugs, else you can safely decline it!)
Can I ask how long this has been going on for you now? (Feeling like shit most days)
I don't recall reading if you have any existing supports outside the forum - friends, family, doctor/counsellor - that know how youre feeling and are involved in a positive way?
Did you have any hobbies or interests you enjoyed or liked doing before these feelings came on?
Do you have topics that you like to chat about, that might help distract and absorb your interest? (Sometimes this can help get through the day, and if there isnt currently a thread about the topic we can always create one!)
I love learning, so if there is any topic you love teaching people about, im all ears. 😊
@MissinTooth that looks like fun to me! 😊 I like lego. Even just sorting lego pieces into colours. But also following instructions to build -- same with ikea furniture! 😋

Hoping new meds will kick in soon and help @GezzaP . Glad you have both a doc and a friend as supports -- both medical and social ends. 😊
Pets can be problematic for puzzles! 😆 I have dogs at home, and the puzzle table now has edging around it to stop the dogs putting their heads on the table and causing pieces to drop on the floor lol.
I have some physical restrictions too, so I get the limitations on activities from them. 😕 its sucks sometimes.
Oohh teach me about Spanish American politics!! I know nothing! Is that meaning the southern and central Americas region?
