was a lecturer at Adelaide Uni had for some subect on postmodernism @GezzaP  Peter some one will look it up prob not much older than me if at all. anyway he said all academics used to claim were Marxists til that went out and that in '00s post modernism was the new Marxism lol ah thanks brain ..Peter Monteath

I bumped into him couple years after I graduated. He asked what I was doing , said couldnt get anything vaguely academic and had gone back to my trade. He said 'oh there's nothing wrong with being a welder'.. funny , academics in Humanities seemed fascinated by physical work. D!ck Geary was visiting AU in 2001; had him for Honours coursework. One of his pet things was some upcoming German historian who had worked as a butcher lol 

I remember stumbling onto a book on work theory that saw factory work as just another form of imprisonment. I was gob-smacked , thought I'd lifted a corner of the curtain ha ha. once was working with brother in law builder in heat digging trenchs manually. Guy whose place it was worked at Flinders turned out. so idiot B.I.L keeps saying oh tab went to unitil he finally got a response . The guy offered that I was a 'real Renaissance Man' .. smart@rse.. and d!ckhead brother in law trying to belittle me

Morning @TAB @Glisten @MissGremlin @Meowmy @PeppyPatti . Yes I’m up early today. Been up since 4.30am.

I knew Peter he worked at Flinders after or before Adelaide Uni @TAB . I am anti-postmodernism. It is not Marxism it is an abandonment of Marxism. I could do a critique of it but I’ll spare you that. I used to specialise in poor countries especially Latin America. I taught international political economy, development theory and several courses on Latin America. I did research on torture and political violence, Cuba and Mexico. My PhD was on the [edited by moderator] (Sports, Leisure and Recreation). I published 2 books and several chapters and articles before I had my first breakdown. Published a few things after my first breakdown but was harder to write after breakdown. I don’t write anymore as I have no access to university libraries and journal access is so expensive if you subscribe without uni library access. Mostly published with friends here and in the US. Don’t read academic books anymore but I have about 1,000 plus. Got rid of many when I retired. Excuse the rant.

Morning @SmilingGecko . Went to bed around 8 last night woke up at 4.30 so I guess that’s enough sleep. Forgot to try acupressure points as was texting my helper. Had a small drink last night. Got up once to go to the loo. Should water garden, empty recycling crate and put rubbish in outside bin, but can’t be bothered. Later maybe. Have a good day. Enjoy your morning rituals.
