@AuntGlow re not doing 'trade' stuff myself . Connecting nut on copper gas pipe from cylinder to regulator was all rounded off. I filed it flatter a few times thinking gas fitter ould cost '00s came to stage it wasnt usable,  so looked at options

• steal one from vacant house
• get a price
• make one up myself, just need hundreds of dollars of tools never use again and pay thru nose for fittings
• started googling. found out proper name.
• searched again and got one from caravan place as vans have gas cylinders ha ha

was like $20 ha ha, just took a bit of careful bending to make it fit.

was a 'U' shape, bent it around verandah post ha ha
