Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@PeppyPatti I didn't realise Beattie had a steam room. I used to go there for water aerobics when I hurt my shoulder, back when the big T paid for me as it was compo.

I still prefer a sauna. I think I will get me a sauna. I miss having a sauna...lol

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

Hello @ENKELI I hope youre coasting along ok. You have been on my mind. Have you been able to raise funds for the water damage to your home? I realise you havent been alltogether well either in terms of health.

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

Yes there’s are good thoughts in steam land or sauna land I said to someone in the sauna - I really hope I’m not embarrassing you and I’m sorry for asking for your attention but I thought you were Nat Fyfe when you were walking in the sauna. I then kept my mouth shut promising myself ever to open my mouth again. @Glisten

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

Argentina has had a distorted economy since the Spanish colonised it in the 16th century @SmilingGecko . They briefly had a boom on the back of beef exports in the 19th century. Now they are dependent more on soya bean exports to China like Brazil is. (The US also depends heavily on the export of soya beans to China). They still export beef and leather. But the profits are controlled by a few wealthy corporations and individuals as has been the case throughout their history even in the so-called prosperous years. They have a long history of brutal dictatorships with brief periods of so-called democracy. If you are poor in Argentina life sucks whatever the political system. Under the dictatorships you are likely to be abducted and tortured and killed if you do not accept your poverty.  Democracy doesn’t tolerate dissent either. I don’t know what types of community development projects you are referring to so can’t comment on those. The world is shifting from US domination to Chinese domination. Trump is facilitating this shift on a global scale. Anyway hope you are ok. I am baking a potato again tonight - comfort food. My footy team lost badly. Our captain was best player on the ground.
