i feel the same @rav3n i really struggle with phone calls. i usually don't answer the phone when it rings as it makes me too anxious.

same here @Jacques unless the number is saved in my contacts, there's a good chance i won't pick up. i get frustrated when people call but they don't leave a message explaining who they are or why they called 😅

This must be common because I don't pick up calls either unless I know who is calling.

i've heard the new iOS 26 (for apple phones) have an AI thing where they automatically pick up the call for you and find out who's calling and why - then they pass on that info to you so you can choose whether you want to answer or hang up @Oaktree @Jacques it's supposed to help with reducing scam calls but i reckon it would help with my overall phone anxiety!

That would be good @Jacques @rav3n @Oaktree . Although I know a number of people who would get to the AI response and be confused and hang up thinking they called the wrong number (yeah grandma, i'm thinking of you lol).

I love that my phone tells me when a number has been reported as being spam/fraud. Now I am more likely to considering answering a Private Number or unknown number because a lot of them are already flagged.

I answered a phone call a month ago, and if I don't know the number I don't answer with my name - just a "hello". It turned out to be a callback from a job application for an interview. 😬 It's not a good look when part of the role is customer-service call-centre/help-desk focused. 🤣

oh wow, yeah that would be a bit rough @AlwaysMyself it is weird i fell less anxious making calls for others than myself, maybe it is a mindset thing? i don't know.
