changing times

Hi to any one who can remember me.. Every time I re connect with SANE it has changed. Don't so much feel a part of it as I used too . All new people, not so laid back and friendly. More like a corporation.  Any way , I am fed up with changes ,changes the latest changes 5 days now instead of 7, no masks etc, etc, its never ending. Be really glad when it is all over, depression is starting to grab hold of me,serious physical illnesses starting to take hold . How much longer can we all go on for, before we all crack up.   Spring is here, bulbs coming up,chickens hatching out, bee's swarming, new life is beginning, green every where. Hope this is a sign of a change for the better.I will go on wearing a mask ,regardless.  Yours Respectfully,  jay2

@jay2

You do what you have to do. Many people are trying to do the right thing, but not buying into the hype about the latest rulings as much .. my osteo told me about the 5 day thing ... but she was not too strict ...

I find the rate of change a bit much and do my best to slow things down .;.. lol ... then people complain its tooo slow ... cant please em all ...

Making things personal .. a bit of an art maybe ...

Hi @jay2 Welcome back! Our site has changed and our service is expanding. It's exciting cause we are trying to reach and help more people but I can understand the shock when you haven't been here for a while and everything is different. Please reach out if you have any questions.

I'm hearing you're fed up with the new changes to the covid laws. I hear you, I will be glad when this is all over as well.. if it will ever be over or if we will just learn to accept it.

So glad spring is in the air but I always feel a bit strange when the seasons change, the shift in the air or something makes me a little uneasy. I'm sorry to hear the depression is creeping in again. Do you have support for this?

Thanks for checking in 🌸

Hey @jay2 @Paperdaisy @Appleblossom

I'm very glad for the bees and the chickens.

Also, know what you mean about the corporate vibes. I like it much more when we're a rag-tag group of complex individuals, with hearts of gold, facing numerous challenges together, with hilarious results, that are fun for the whole family.

Also, we're not locked in here with change. Change is locked in here with us. Change just acts tough but it's much more scared of what we're capable of.

Re: changing times

Hi @jay2 and welcome back to the forum. Yes there have been a lot of changes within the forum but still a very supportIve space to be part of. All aspects of life are impermanent, forever changing and learning to go with the flow is hard sometimes. I still wear a mask also and will continue to do so when out and about. Even my depression/anxiety waxes and wanes and reminding myself of this helps me get through the cycle. Spring 🌼  is indeed in the air with new beginnings and I wish for you better days ahead. 🙏

Re: changing times

Hi @jay2

Yep I'm not a great fan of change either. When my husband says we need to get new phones I say, no, I like this familiar old one. Even the change of season throws me. My husband and I often joke that we've been together so long (27 years) because we both hate change. Not true of course but it makes us laugh.

Unfortunately change is inevitable in life. I always think of this Buddhist quote when I get anxiety about change.

"Change is never painful. Only the resistance to change is painful." I feel it's so true and really helps me try to move through change rather than fight it.

Hugs
