Re: not coping

no its ok @Jynx its not really something i speak about to often. it is overwhelming and exhausting when it does happen or when the hallucinations are bothersome. i get hallucinations every day but sometimes theyre enough to just bug me rather then fully affect me as ive been able to recognise what it is sometimes.

yes ive only got 5 more working days then having a few days off to prepare for hospital and then being admitted so just have to get through the next few days.

Re: not coping

Ahh yeah @outlander so like when your stress goes up, they get more intense, making you more stressed... that kinda thing? Ahh the joys of symptom knock-on effects 🥲

Godspeed 🤞 Anything planned for those days off or mainly packing and logistics and the like?

Re: not coping

yeah kinda @Jynx they are always around just makes it much harder and go into a more psychosis episode during intense periods of stress like moving house, car troubles that dont have obvious answers, debt or getting calls from debt collectors and sometimes hospital stays too like having to organise everything so the time there is less stressful.

mainly packing, cleaning the house, making sure the pets are set up. i want to get my nails and hair done as well, nothing fancy but a tidy up. due to the procedure i need to have during the hospital stay this time showers will be minimal for the first few days so having my hair done and nails as well will help me feel like im staying fresher for longer

Re: not coping

Oh yep that'd do it hey @outlander - my symptoms (both trauma-related and neurodiversity) always get ramped up to 11 during those moments too. The 'unexpected' or the 'illogical' especially tend to get me to increased levels of agitation (when you mentioned car troubles with no obvious answers I feeelllllt that 🤣).

Oh that's such a great idea!! Do you get your nails done with colours? Got a scheme picked out? 👀😍

Re: not coping

indeed, symptoms always manage to go levels no one understands! well they do but our brains suck and they should not overexagerate things!

sometimes i do get my nails done with colour but as its a hospital admission cant have the colouring this time but a tidy up of all the cuticles and nails will be nice. sometimes the shellacs can make it harder for pulse readers to get accurate readings and harder to tell for circulation. i am allowed to just get a clear coat though so itll be ok.

Re: not coping

@outlander a hundred percent!

Oh no way, learned something today. So no getting them with dark red tips eh? LOL you might frighten the staff! But maybe you could plan to get some pretty colours after you have recovered somewhat!

Re: not coping

that is ok @Appleblossom i appreciate the kind words and company Heart

Re: not coping

i like to get the french tips @Jynx or sometimes a blue with white patterns. i dont get them very often though because of my line of work. fake nails irritate me to much and because of the cleaning etc i have to do sometimes my nails chip so ruins them but when i have time off i like to get them done. im thinking next time i have days off i wouldnt mind getting some sunflowers painted on if theres someone near me with the handy work to do that
