Welcome to the forums @SchizOttie . Itβs great that youβve found the forums as I hope you will find them to be very helpful and supportive like they have been for me.
I read that youβre going to undertake the Certificate IV in Mental Health next year. Well done - I hope you enjoy the course as I know itβs a great entry course into a mental health career. I know of people who have done the course and found it to be very interesting and exciting, especially when they get to use their knowledge on their practical placements as part of the course requirements.
Iβm also going back to study next year - a bachelor of social work- and Iβm hoping my schizophrenia behaves itself and I manage to stay out of hospital for the duration of the course. Iβve previously studied and had to discontinue courses in the past when my mental health caused me issues. Iβm well right now and am hoping to stay that way.
Welcome once again to the forums!

Hello!
I took some time to introduce myself because Iβm not really good at this, but I want to try!
I recently started a Cert.IV Mental Health Peer Work, I have a dog and I love tangerines.
I have lived experience with ADHD, depression, anxiety and PTSD. I also have lived experience with people with bipolar disorder, AOD, BPD, and more.
I decided to join the forum because I donβt have any friends that I can ask about mental health, and I also would like to help others if I can.
Hope this post doesnβt give away my identity π«£
Thank you! π

Good afternoon everyone!
I'm brand new here, hoping to find some people who 'get it'
I personally have major depression and anxiety, but I'm mostly here to learn how to help out a friend, who has been going through a major bpd crisis this year. Her only family is distant, so I'm trying my best, but I'd like to learn how to not burn myself out in doing so lol
Hope you are all well and looking forward to joining in conversations π

Hello! I am new to the Sane forums. I love reading, writing, and all things creative. Iβm from Europe but have been living in Australia on and off since 2017.
I am looking to learn how to manage and live with my mental health challenges. I experience stress / depression / anxiety / panic attacks and C-PTSD. These, however, are just words and labels and they do not define me.
I feel I have been identifying with my suffering for too long and Iβm looking to explore who I am outside of my trauma and mental health challenges.
