Thanks for sharing @heartathome . Glad you hear things are on track. We are here for you.

Re: Daily Check In Space

Hi! I'm a 4/5 today. Struggling with the impact my husbands mental health is having on me/feeling burnt out today. Some things I think I did well, I worked, organised dinner for our family and had a beautiful afternoon with our son (1 y/o). I got myself a nice coffee this morning and had baby cuddles.

Re: Daily Check In Space

To participate, here are 3 questions for your daily check in:

1) How are you feeling?

I feel disconnected, nervous and unsure

About a 6 on the scale

2) What is one thing you have struggled with, and one thing you have done well?

I've struggled with the mood swings of my toddler while managing my own emotions related to my eldest daughters self harm engagement

3) What is one nice thing you can do for yourself today?

One nice thing I'm doing for myself is seeking out other parents who have or are experiencing their child engaging in self harm.

Re: Daily Check In Space

Hey @UniiQue good to have you here. Thanks for sharing those challenges and those strengths, sounds like you're juggling quite a bit at the moment so I think that it's very understandable to be feeling a bit unsure and disconnected considering this. Glad that throughout this you've felt able to try out something new like these forums, hoping that you're able to connect with others on here who can speak from similar lived experience

Re: Daily Check In Space

1) I am feeling, maybe a 5? I am "OK" but really flat and mentally exhausted.

2) I am struggling with my decision to leave my wife of 6 years; her mental health has shattered me and I can't do it any more. But I want to wait until she gets through this current crisis (lost her job, in court over unfair dismissal/bullying, she was 100% in the right but it's HARD), some days are easier than others while I wait. Something I have done well at is to get on with life; i had a productive weekend getting things done and got her to finally fix a broken ceiling!

3) I will go to bed at 5pm tonight to read my book, eat some blueberries and have a super early, relaxing night.

Re: Daily Check In Space

1) How are you feeling?

About a 6, but on a downward/middling trend.

Supporting my partner today. They are struggling with grief, overwhelm, exhaustion and burnout - now coupled with guilt over how they prioritised their time, and needing to mask/be supportive to their family around family stuff.

     2) What is one thing you have struggled with, and one thing you have done well?

I have struggled with feeling guilty for having my own needs, and listening to what my body and mind need.

One thing I have done well is that I have held true to my values - in taking time off work today (needing to travel with partner so they could visit elderly family) instead of trying to do everything or dismissing my partner's needs too.

     3) What is one nice thing you can do for yourself today?

I can get myself a big glass of water, and a yummy snack, and spend my small amount of alone time today allowing myself to un-tense myself.
