Re: Fragile

No problem @Emelia8 @Shaz51 some people are more concerned than others about location and sometimes you don't realise when you are posting something. It was just a suggestion

Re: Fragile

It was a good suggestion @Till23 🥰

Re: Fragile

What is truth and what is delusion is big in my family. Mostly they were dismissed.

I appreciated the detail, for the sake of connecting @Emelia8 somehow it matters. Thank you. You can edit it if you are worried.

my caution about dsm and pharmaceuticals is based on watching how my family were treated. @tyme

yep, I did field trips on this stuff in the 1980s…

however, I also wonder if a similar dynamic can exist in psychosocial realms, where if some people over defend or use walls around their favourite issues, they can cause issues to surrounding folk?

@AuntGlow @rav3n

just think it worthwhile to keep open discussion about all the various identities and communities that are in society in general and the forums. How to keep things open and curious and inclusive, and the limits to the good in boundaries?

what do you think?

do you mind sharing a bit more on what you mean by this, maybe providing an example scenario? i'm not sure i fully understand but i am curious!

Re: Fragile

A few come to mind, but I don’t really feel its safe to share a particular scenario, but I guess I felt motivated to make connections between sea walls and property and boundaries and personalities, or identities. With sea walls the erosion tends to happen downstream or down wind of the structure, so a narrow area may be protected, but further along the coast is extra damaged and washed away.  I do like/ approve of so many changes and improvements to the forum. Just trying to keep the conversation robust.

It is something I have seen in play here in the forum and in the real world.  I just pray there is enough space and time for misunderstandings and/or clashes to work themselves out… in the wash. It’s such a big ask for the forums to provide inclusive space for the huge range of people, that need it and show up. Hurt feelings and misunderstandings happen and impact on others witnessing it. It is part of genuine discussion. I really appreciate the effort and work the mods, peer workers and general community put in.

Re: Fragile

Interesting points you've raised there @Appleblossom .

I'll read over it so I can digest.

I just wanted to share that I had a beautiful social day yesterday. I went to a Christmas in July lunch. At night went to a beautiful nerdy concert. I thought only one friend was coming with me, and glad of it, but 4 others I knew showed up, and a gorgeous young man chose to sit next to me (we had played together last year), which made me feel held by the universe, in my love of maths, science and music! I could joke, great minds think alike! He probably just sat next to me, cos I was early and in the best spot. Haha… statistics and sight lines! lol.

Thank you friends for holding space for me, in your various ways.

Re: Fragile

Thank you for sharing a gratitude moment with us @Appleblossom 🤩

Connecting with people who really get you and your passions must have felt so, so soul-nourishing. And a beautiful young man?! Tell me more. hehe

But seriously, this is amazing. I am so glad you had this moment and experienced some wonderful glimmers - these moments make life so worth it. 🥰
