Re: Who experiences dissociation?

@Just yes, I know what you mean. The book talks about that too, it says safer or something like that... Can't remember 🤦

Re: Who experiences dissociation?

@Just  I can relate to a bit of what you posted and discussed with @destructive.

I guess the CPTSD resonated and I have been looking at structural dissociation as a response to that, though I did first read about dissociation in theoretical texts 40 years ago. Bringing the theory into practice on ME, has been very slow. I can relate to parts like

deer in the headlights

people pleaser

brave get it done part

carer…angel…

I am gradually integrating different aspects of myself… very late in life.

@destructive  noticed your thread began in 2021! Sorry not many people responded til now. Guess it’s the way the world goes…

Positions and feelingsPositions and feelingsThis picture doesn’t really do justice to my sense of different parts but I like including visuals to somehow complement my verbal sides…

Re: Who experiences dissociation?

@Appleblossom  @destructive not sure about pictures. But know to  times through parts of my. System.   Child came out briefly when I had a visitor. But luckily wasn't noticed, by visitor. I also have a strong somewhat legal, stern one who fronts when something isn't right and I need a stronger present to get things across. Tried to set up email communication it was up for 2 weeks. Now doesn't work not sure why?
