How is everyone here?

All survived unscathed?

My visitors have gone

Just me & furball now

Slept most the day away

Made a yummy lamb leg roast for our lunch yesterday.  And Apple pie & custard feast. Went well, but had to make it happen myself. Was good distraction from the life losses that haunt at these times - it works, and blesses someone else. However, I can so relate to those of you who hybernate, take cover 'till it's all over. That's usually my thing. But either way...

Survived it here too @Former-Member and actually enjoyed most of the day - but good that it is over for another year as well.

Hey @Shaz51@Zoe7@aficionado@cats_pajamas@Dimity@Former-Member

I'm really sorry to hear some didn't do too well yesterday. My thoughts go out to you...

Shaz; you asked what comedy's I like a couple of pages back. It depends on my mood. I do enjoy one with a moral ending. You know, the 'feel-good' ones that make you smile on the inside as well as outside.

Comedians like Will Ferral (snicker) hit the spot when anxiety hits. Even Charley Chaplan doesn't go astray at those times.

It wouldn't have mattered today anyway; I fell into a deep sleep on the lounge. Woman Wink

@Zoe7 - congrat's hun. Responding to people in need today is commendable and well deserving of praise. Looking out for you too by the way...x

@TAB - absolutely; washing can wait while you 'get rid of' (he he) leftovers like pudding. I'm all for a day of rest, recouperation and silliness. 37 at 9am!!!! Where are you? Hades? ha ha What was it at 2pm?

@aficionado - crying knocks the top off hun. It makes room for better feelings and deeper sleep. I'm glad you had a decent day though. You were in my thoughts last night wondering how you'd coped. Hope to see you at the NYE party...Smiley Happy

That goes for everyone else too!

Hang in there Sane'rs; it's nearly over.

Love Hope xo Heart

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Will Ferrell is brilliant @Hope4me 😀 I actually did the washing in the end. Yes am in Hades. It got to 39, just got hot early. Still 34 at 7.30pm although dry heat so that’s something. I slept most of afternoon so it can’t have been that bad inside lol

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Thanks @Zoe7, feeling at a loss now the house is quiet again. Have to move late January so bracing myself for another big move, makes me tired just thinking about it, but I've stocked up on boxes... Think I'll just 'chill' this week 'till new year. Wish it was easier to get a rental with a dog.
Guess the next big thread will be 'New 'Year Resolutions' lol Do you have anything big planned? I need to take better care of my health
- a podiatrist
- start walking
- asthma management
- socialise more
- find a better job
- more optimism

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

..that could be my list minus asthma and plus a few others @Former-Member hi @Zoe7 guess youre asleep by now.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

I'm a whoos @TAB Woman Frustrated Dry heat or not, gotta have air con. Just not built for the high temp's, though my hair and arthritis hates the humidity worse.

I went on a cruise last year and was nearly crippled due to 100% humid and rain. Bit of a shame because it would've been ideal otherwise. We were upgraded to a balcony suite. How nice to watch the waves, dolphins, sunset and shore lights at night.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Yeah I need aircon @Hope4me stayed at rels few years ago they just refused to turn it on mostly. Yeah have no hair so thats not a problem. I recall being in Singapore briefly decades ago. I’d call that Hades re weather. Well dolphins etc sounds good but can be seen in more moderate climes lol . I get aches and pains but sounding like a novice re being crippled. I’ve been to places like Broome before , could cope with pool and aircon, walking around notso 😸
