Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Adge 3 hours sounds very very painful
I know what it is like....when
you get stuck and you have to be there but you want to be somewhere else

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Adge
I got 2 $100 gift cards from my employers this year...I work retail...sounds good but $200 isn't much considering what I have to go through to do this job

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Hi @jamesle2015

You said: "3 hours sounds very very painful

Yep, it felt very much like that - sounds like you do understand (& have experienced similar).

Yes I worked in Retail Nursery, wholesale & production nurseries (plants) years ago.

It was a nightmare - managers & demanding customers (very rude).

It's a tough job, I know.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@jamesle2015 I would certainly find even that little bit of extra money (even in the form of giftcards) really helpful at the moment - it may not seem much but it all helps. We do not receive any extra from our employer so it is a bonus you have been given anything - do something nice for yourself with the extra this year ...we all deserve a little time (and money) spent on ourselves when we have the opportunity to do so.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Thanks @TAB

and thx for asking after me when I dissappeared.

Smiley Happy

For those who care about my story ... My neck went out cos I was cleaning too hard. I had a "mixed" session with NDIS lady on 24th, and had to just to absolute necessaries to get through Christmas Day.  Son came over, early and slept the night.  He was impressed by my special keto 4 course chrissie dinner tailor made for him, and various quirky gifts and big tik items were discussed ....  We started watching Death of Stalin but he did not think it good, and then he chose Jane Eyre ... and we did not finish it, but chatted instead.  "Chatting" with my son is high energy and heavy work as he does not do relaxed chat.  Then I drove him home and picked up his washing, but he was pleased with the day generally.

Happy 26th December Sane Forum and All People Passing by.
