No @Zoe7 I did not bring any leftovers home.

They did have a lot of food left over - They wanted people to take some.

The 70+ year old lady next to me, had been insistently telling me her entire life story (with all the Gritty details) for over 2 hours - She did not stop to breathe, didn't take a break.

She did not ask anything about me, I could barely get a word in.

So I was emotionally Drained, as well as being Sunburnt (& over-heated), long before I left.

I had to say "I've goto go now", whilst she still kept on talking (just to me).

A community lunch on Christmas Day, is a time for "Light-hearted conversation" (& some Cheer) - No I didn't get any.

So I had to leave, just to get some Peace & rest.

Oh that sucks @Adge The poor thing must have needed the company but sorry it was you that had to be in that position. I have no doubt you made her day though by listening - you probably put a smile on her face today buddy so feel good about that 👍

The heat in your part of the world has been really high so plenty of TLC and fluids needed now to look after you.
