It’s been a really tough year, and I have been running like mad to keep up.  Don’t want to go into much detail cos it can be identifying, but there has been illness, injury, clashing commitments …… so many ups and downs I am dizzy.  I have made it through the academic year, but found some feedback difficult and emotionally bruising, and it felt really unnecessary for that one person to have been so harsh.  It was not the opinion of everybody else, and I am keeping my head above water by emotionally blocking that person.  Struggling with a cold that is not leaving easily, which tells me I am run down, so piling on as much self-care as I can.  I will take a lengthy break now and just rest, restore, go-slow.

i expect to be more present on the forums again soon.  Hope y’all are doing okay 🌷

Re study:

I used to put academics on a pedestal in my first undergrad. SInce then I have socialised with them a bit and married into the family of one. Hmmm. They definitely have their biases and limitations.
