I don't get to see my mum either. Twin has thrown another tantrum ( a constant pattern of behaviour with her) and did not come to lunch that we invited her to. Her loss.

My older son unaware when my birthday is and does not celebrate anything for self or others.

I decided on a quiet lunch with husband and younger son. Plus 5 nights away isolating elsewhere.

Was lovely being with those who love us and accept us for who we are as is the case with you @BlueBay
