Sorry mods, not sure how to make that pic smaller!

Anyhoo, that's my weapon of choice when making a strong, stove top espresso. Yeah they do come in different sizes.

That's amazing you're working full time @Gazza75 , well done. And well done on securing your position, restructurings can be scary. It's hard to know when to push yourself back to work and how many days to work, when to stay put in the bubble. I think I could only manage 2 days/week. It's a shame not to be doing more therapy if you really want to, but it is expensive & time consuming. I hear you on the weight gain, with my meds I rapidly put on weight, have so many nice clothes that are now too tight. Trying to eat healthy but love my sweets! Good luck with the GP, it's great you're being pro-active. Would you see a dietition or anything like that?

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Hello and good morning to the coffee lovers and friends 🙂

@LadyleahRDBloom- Hi, wishing you well for your interview on Friday.  I think if you let your enthusiasm and passion show through you will land it for sure!  I'll keep all my good bits crossed for you.

@BryanaCamp- I've spoken to a dietician a few weeks ago.  I got a free consult through work.  She had a few suggestions which i've taken on board.  I love my sweets to so i'm far from the perfect patient.  Thanks for sharing the coffee machine picture, thats very similar to the one i know.  It's water in the bottom and the steam rises through the coffee?  I'm going to have to track one down.  It looks like  bloody good unit to Me!  I have a coffee machine, but, it takes up to much room, my kitchen is bloody small!  A stovetop one would fit my needs better right now.

@Former-Member- I'd love one of those in the rain LOL

Hi @Former-Member , nice to see you around as well 🙂

Wishing everyone a great day or evening !

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

@Gazza75 and @BryanaCamp have either of you tried an Aeropress? They have them at our local cafe, they look interesting. Thought about getting one of those and a $29 KMart milk frother, hopefully save some money on cafe trips! Smiley LOL

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

hi @Gazza75 that's great your work provided a free consult w the dietitian. Yes, the water goes in the bottom & then the steam filters into the top, you can hear it bubbling away which is a conforting sound. I live in a major city & there's an Italian neighbourhood with lots of Italian restaurants so I bought mine there. From memory it was pricey but has lasted ages, i remember they told me to turn the stove off as soon as you hear it bubbling, I think that's so the bottom doesn't get burnt. My kitchen is small too, I have the study/kitchen all in one space.

hi @Ali11 I've never hear of an Aeropress, interesting. You sound like a seriously dedicated coffee lover!

hi @Former-Member , how's your week going, do you have much on?

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Good Morning,

Another day to savour the taste and love of coffee 🙂

@Ali11- I haven't heard of the aeropress machine, but, it sounds interesting.  I can vouch for the milk frothers, i had a manual victoria coffee one many moons ago and it made a regular coffee into a rather spectacular one.  I have used the Aldi version of them at work and they do an excellent job.  Just be careful not to overfill with milk as they really do froth!

@BryanaCamp- I didn't know about turning it off as soon as it bubbled.  That might be why mine didn't last as long as hoped.  I'll have to shop around and see what I can find.  There's a few italian deli's and places around where I am.  I don't mind paying money if it stands the test of time 🙂

Have a stella day everybody.

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Haha, serious coffee lover or just saving money at cafes @BryanaCamp Smiley LOL

This is an Aeropress, very basic, just add ground coffee, pour in hot water and slowly press it through the filter. Seems better for the environment than those pod coffee machines for home, not so sure how good the coffees are but curious to try...

How are you both today @BryanaCamp @Gazza75

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

Looks like a neat gadget @Ali11 and I'm always up for an option that's good for the environment Smiley Happy

I'm well thanks, looking forward to a nice weekend.

hi @Gazza75 how are you travelling? Must be nice to have a weekend after working full time. Hope you're enjoying a relaxed coffee. How's your job going for you, do you enjoy it (may be a silly question & understand if you'd prefer not to talk about it)?

hi @LadyleahRDBloom how did your interview go?

hi @Former-Member  @Former-Member  how are you going?

Hope everyone is looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Re: With coffee .... without coffee. A place for us coffee lovers and coffee!

I use a regular plunger for my coffee @BryanaCamp  @Gazza75 , we buy beans and grind them usual a manual coffee grinder. I also have a manual milk frother which I make lattes and cappuccino style coffees for friends (I have my coffee black).images (59).jpeg
