Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  I’m ok I guess. Didn’t make it as far as the shower today. Was miserable when I first woke up. Did smoke less though so that’s good. Hoping I can stay awake to watch AFL final tonight, but might end up going to bed at half time. Got script for changed meds from psychiatrist so will try to drag myself into shower and go to chemist tomorrow. Didn’t manage to call GP oh well try again Monday.
Still smoking less today.

Gave cat her old food this morning she ate half of it. Will give her the new food tonight.

How are you?

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP smoking less and getting a script is still an achievement.

I wonder if your cat is craving different food since she ate the new food.

I’ve achieved a few things like exercise, shower and put some laundry in. Feeling miserable, but that’s just where I’m at

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  Good on you for showering , exercising and doing laundry. I’m hoping I can shower tomorrow and fill script and go to shop again tomorrow.

I should have done some more washing but they said it was going to rain later today (it hasn’t).

I am hoping I can stay awake to at least watch half of the AFL final tonight. Try to stay out of bed longer. Will maybe have a nap this afternoon.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP sometimes the weather can be unpredictable. It tends to be very unpredictable here in Melbourne. I hope you are able to enjoy the AFL tonight.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  Yes the weather is a bit unpredictable here in Adelaide too. Oh well I’ll do the laundry another day. Yes hoping the AFL is a good game to distract me.

Just let cat outside for a little while. She’s allowed out in the day time but not at night. Getting up again to stretch my back.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I don’t watch AFL, don’t really understand it. I hope it is a good game.

We get cats here out during the night, not just during the day. I think in certain suburbs there are curfews for cats. The kitty that lives next door to us was really friendly with us yesterday, maybe she has become more familiar with us

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  Oh well I grew up with footy before the game went national used to follow my local team in the state league.

We don’t have cat curfew in my council yet so we have cats out at night, but I bring mine in so she doesn’t catch the wildlife. I have a neighbour’s cat that sometimes comes in my place and eats my cat’s food

lol so I chase him off. But I mostly keep the door shut so he can’t get in these days. My cat is back on my lap. She knows I’m feeling low so she is giving me lots of loving. She has been sleeping with me since I had a fight with my sister and she blamed me for getting sad and depressed.

Yes I hope it is a good game otherwise I won’t be able to stay awake.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I didn’t grow up around sporty parents. I’m more of a gym and brisk walking type of exercise girl instead of sports.

Neighbiur’s cat sounds like a handful. They love their treats. My mum often puts food out in our backyard, it attracts birds and cats.

I think cats can sense when something isn’t right, they feel the stress. Your cat probably knows you need all that love rn with, with everything that is going on with your sister.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I don’t like gyms and I’m a really slow walker these days.

I put seeds out for the birds.

Yes cats pick up on the stress.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I’ve been doing gym exercises at home, I got help from a PT online. Going to the gym feels too hard, home felt more accessible. I can’t dress freely in a gym and I get self-conscious, have lots of social anxiety. Even female gyms typically have security cameras and I don’t want to have to wear lots of layers. I dress modestly for religious reasons when I leave the house, it’s who I am.

Slow walking is better than no walking. Some movement is still good.
