Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer It is overcast here too in Adelaide and we had an evening shower. Don’t know what the forecast is for tomorrow. The local footy is on tv if it’s raining.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP we had a cooler day today, pollen count wasn’t super high, still sneezing a lot.

Sometimes we just have to wait and see how the weather holds, it’s tricky at this time of year to know what the weather brings.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Yes spring weather is unpredictable. I don’t get hayfever anymore. I will see how the weather is tomorrow.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP glad you don’t get hayfever anymore, it’s a nuisance. I do believe I had mild asthma at one point, but I grew out of it.

Do you go to the local footy club often?

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  No don’t go to local footy much now there is AFL. They are forecasting rain all day tomorrow so not sure I’ll go to game see what it’s like in the morning.

i get very depressed at night that’s why I go to bed early and I’m bad in the mornings so it is hard to get in the shower especially when it’s cold.
worried how I’ll be when I don’t have the footy to distract me. Sorry for being so miserable. Hope you are ok.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP depression is exhausting. I know when my depression was more intense, I would sleep a lot too. It’s not too bad rn, but I do feel sleepy all day.

The cold certainly doesn’t help, I don’t feel like taking a shower today. The cold also means I barely sweated during my workout today. Nah, it’s all good, we all need a safe place to vent our emotions 💖. I have a bad bout of hayfever rn which isn’t helping how I’ve been feeling. I forgot to take my antihistamine this morning, will take it now

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Yes depression is very draining.
Yes take your tablet, hayfever sucks. Glad you were able to do your work out. Understand about not being able to get in the shower.

I’m starting to get hungry but trying to wait for a while so I don’t get hungry during the footy. Don’t know what I’ll do when the footy is over to keep me distracted. I hate the weekdays when there’s no footy.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope you are enjoying the footy. Sometimes a small activity can make a huge difference. Is there anything that you love doing you could do on the weekdays?

Re: Feeling caged up

Hello @creative_writer and @GezzaP

Happy Sunday to you both. How are you feeling today? 🥰

@creative_writer I am so sorry to hear this conversation was so invalidating for you... how overwhelming. 😣 How we process our painful experiences is inherently different person to person, so yes, your trauma is valid and absolutely not an overreaction.

Of course you need to build safety before being intimate, this is so understandable and necessary.

It seems like there are so many ways this conversation could have been held with more care... have you been able to talk to anyone for further support over the weekend? 💛

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I used to read lots of novels but can’t concentrate at the moment. I used to garden but my back hates it nowadays and I have lost all my strength. Aging sucks. I am 62 now.
Doing anything is hard when you are depressed.
