Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  Yes hoping psychiatrist will give me a mental health care plan. Still got a really bad headache today. Went for two walks back hurt. In a lot of pain.

Hope you are ok today.

Re: Feeling caged up

I hear you, coming back to the body when it hasn't felt like a safe space can be really scary... that's why I always recommend gently and very slowly doing this (in ways that feel right for you). @creative_writer

Butterfly hugs and breathing sound like a very soft way to explore this. I can imagine art therapy would be perfect for you too - there are so many modes of self-exploration and inner processing. Talk therapy is only one!

What would you like to do creatively if you explored it in a therapeutic context? 💛

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I was in pain today too. I am under the suspicion I have scoliosis and have been for a long time. Spinal curves can run in families. I hope the pain eases for you ❤️

@AuntGlow I'm not sure if I'm good at the talk therapy, sometimes it feels like I am talking till I'm blue and the room is spinning, and yet so much is still stuck. I think I need to be able to describe emotions in an artistic way, my brain does poetry not talking. I could probably also get benefit from talking through art

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Sorry to hear you were in pain today. Backs are really difficult.
@AuntGlow hi there

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP it's more neck than back, but I have lots of tender spots on particular areas of my back, might need to get it checked. My migraines are always on the higher shoulder side (still getting headaches and auras). I also have an uneven waist and hips. My dad also has the higher shoulder, his test picked up a curve, he can't remember what the condition was called, but I am guessing scoliosis. Human bodies are the weirdest things.

What are you up to tonight?

Re: Feeling caged up

I’ll be going to bed pretty early as I only slept for 4 hours last night. Will do back exercises again though. Watching TV atm. Sorry to hear you’ve had a migraine and neck hurts. I’ve got a heat pad on my neck. Took some more painkillers. Will put tiger balm on my head and neck later.

Re: Feeling caged up

Hello @GezzaP

How is everything going today? 🫶

@creative_writer, I think expressing yourself and healing these parts of you who through your poetry would be incredible. Would you feel comfortable sharing more of your poetry with us here? 😍

Re: Feeling caged up

I’m better today in my body @AuntGlow . I still didn’t sleep well and an still hypomanic. Psychiatrist said to increase 1 med for a couple of nights to try to sleep more. Waiting for GP to call - she’s late as usual.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope you sleep better tonight and I hope the pain is settled. What have you been up to lately?

@AuntGlow I could look through my poetry and share what I feel comfortable sharing. I feel like I work better visually than verbally when processing emotions. Poetry allows me to create an image of what the pain feels like for me

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer I still didn’t sleep last night. My psychiatrist has told me to take extra meds for 2 nights. Found a pain relieving gel and my body feels much better today. Went to shops and Bunnings. Bought some flowers, seeds and two tiny bird’s nest ferns.

How are you today?
