@NatureLovermaybe I don't

What if you could spend more time around dogs? They bring love. Shelter dogs need love and walking by volunteers (once Covid restrictions ease). But they give back more love than they get. That's one way to get a bit of healing, that I know of... Being validated and listened to in therapy is another.

What do you think? @Lee71

Re: checking in

@NatureLover  I used to have a dog, it helped me a lot having one, helped keep me safe, my dog ended up with the ex, and circumstances.

I can't have a dog where I live right now.

Shelter dogs yes, but i get bad anxiety when I leave the house and bad anxiety and paranoia around people, especially if I don't know them

Re: checking in

Maybe walking shelter dogs as @NatureLover  suggested is a thought for later when you feel up to it.  If there any close enough.  I still get paranoid when I volunteer and at times can only be slightly useful, other times I am better, but hey with volunteering, they are grateful for your time.

@Lee71if you can make your room a bit more cosy for you, it might help.

Re: checking in

@Appleblossom  I don't even remember  that thread,  though I always lose time.

Re: checking in

Dont worry about the thread. @Lee71

I found my memory was terrible when I was constantly totally overwhelmed. My words came out wrong andmy sentences were muddled. I never thought I would get the good things about my brain back, but this year gradually learning music again.

Re: checking in

@AppleblossomI can't go out near people.

I'm very sorry to read that your dog had to go with the ex. 😞

Am also sorry that you have such bad anxiety around people...and with leaving the house. I hadn't realised.  @Lee71

Maybe walking shelter dogs would be possible later, at some stage...once you pick up the dog, there are no other people around. If not, then I hope something with dogs will be possible, anyway.

@Appleblossom  you're right about Lee's introductory posts mentioning dogs 🙂 I had forgotten.

Re: checking in

@NatureLoverbeing around people and going out is hard for me,  don't like change. That's why when I see it therapist or doc I like it to be same day every week same time.

You have to go soon?

OK, I hear you, Lee. ❤

I'm glad in that case that your therapist will be back on the usual day this week, on a Tuesday? @Lee71

Yes, time got away from me, and I'm sorry I forgot to say how long I would be around. I'll be here for another 15 minutes or so.

Re: checking in

@NatureLover  yes it should be back to Tuesday's.

I really wish you didn't have to go, but i understand.
