Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Zoe7 . My Christmas day was nice.  Went to my sisters and her partners house for lunch.  We opened all our presents together.  Had a beautiful meal.  Cold meats and salads.  Perfect on a hot day.

Came home with a full tummy and smile on my face.

Dogs have a wonderful ability to know when someone needs some love @cutiepiekitty and can be such a comfort in those times. So lovely that you have those friends where you can find some solace at their place and just BE. Heart

It sounds like a wonderful day for you on Christmas day @utopia - good food, good company and sharing some lovely moments - so pleased for you my beautiful cocky friend Smiley Very HappyHeart

@cutiepiekitty

I decided to have a few Christmas Days in bed and do not regret it.  I cocooned myself totally and was very gentle and watched movies and ate icecream.  I emerged after a few days and went to the shops after all the silliness was done.

That is a few years ago now, and I feel it made a difference in me taking control of Christmas rather than being responsible for Everyone ... or being the Charity Child.  Gradually I am able to honour myself better in the way I celebrate it.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Thabks @Appleblossom I went to the pool for a while and called into the shops on the way home and got myself some treats. Spiced apple pies 50c pack of 6, 6 iced cake slices $1.50, 6 slices caramel date and white chocolate slice for $2.50. Will keep me in snacks for a little while.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@cutiepiekitty

I dont have the same self control as you around snacks., lol .. I eat them all when I have them, so I try not to buy too much, but we all have different styles, and its what gets us through the night, that counts.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Adge I only just saw this and at a quick glance read you had clean, seeded and watered your OVARIES and I surely was intrigued! Thought you may get a laugh out of my moment of brain fart ๐Ÿ™‚

@-Liz-  LOL. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@Zoe7  I spent both of the gift cards - mainly on petrol ๐Ÿ™‚

I had an annoying panic attack on Friday - I think I didn't have a good night's sleep the night before - it was one of those attacks where I felt a bit 'out of control' and 'disconnected' - hard to explain it lasted for a few minutes

there was someone there and I told the person I felt 'dizzy' and the person said 'that's ok' then I struggled to keep doing my work and after a bit everything was okay when more people turned up to the shop

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@jamesle2015 I actually get what you mean by 'out of control' and 'disconnected'. I used to feel like that when my anxiety was really high. It is like the world around you gets fuzzy and slows down but inside is going at a hundred miles an hour. Nothing seems real but you cannot cope with the feelings either. It is great you had someone there for you, it passed and your were able to go on with your work ...but it is super scary and uncomfortable while you are going through it.

Petrol is so expensive so it is good you had the gift cards. I have used most of mine but have one left - which I will use today for a few things I need at the supermarket. It is good because I am broke until Wednesday Smiley Frustrated Back at work in 2 weeks though and as I am going back fulltime I will finally be able to catch up (and maybe even save a little).
