@greenpea Sorry for the over a month delay in replying to yours! Been OS and couldn't respond to this forum from outside of Australia! Happy Australia Day!
The last few months of last year were hardcore, my son was seriously unwell and didn't have the insight to see he was the problem and not everyone else in the world! It was so bad that he was literally screaming at me every day and I was deescalating by having "me time" in my room or at work. We only have really found out recently that he had lithium toxicity which can be fatal if not treated in time. Luckily we got it in time and now he being treated by a private psychiatrist who getting the levels to a more normal level. He's currently staying with his mum until he has stabilized. I took some time off in Bali after Christmas for respite!
My daughter is going well and plans to move in with her boyfriend soon. Everything else is the same and I'm going to the gym tomorrow and start work on Tuesday. What else is news Greenpea with your study? I really like your comment is a work in progress like a masterpiece it takes time. That's what we are striving for! Take care and keep in contact...

@Dadcaringalone Hey Dadcaringalone so good hearing from you and Happy Australia Day to you too ..... but sad that you have been going through hell with son and medication. I had no idea that that drug could cause such problems :o. Son2 isnt on it and I will make sure he never is lol. Really, really happy that you caught it in time .... shocking though that both you and your son went through it like that. When i didnt hear back from you I thought hopefully everything was going well and you were busy in a good way not dealing with a seriously unwell son.
I can just see you in Bali how wonderful :D. I have never been .... I dont know why ..... it would take me alot of strength mentally to get on a plane at this stage of my recovery but never say never. I absolutely love Thai food (love the curries) :D! We have it once a week here as a treat and no one talks whilst eating except to say something like 'OMG! this food is so yummy!' :).
Great that you are having some time off from son. Sounds like you need it. Super great that you daughter is well and moving out soon with boyfriend :). Making her way in the world is nice to hear. I am still umming and ahhing about what course to do .... I will have to talk with my psychiatrist about it next time I see her which is in a couple of weeks. Son2 is keeping me busy atm so I would only be able to do one subject at a time I think. We will have to wait and see π
Have been trying to get fitter walking most mornings with my friend which is great. We head off at 4.30am for an hour at least 3 times a week then I have a support worker 2 days and my mental health worker one day and we walk those days as well so hoping it will do the job of getting me fitter :D.
Great hearing from you yes keep in touch my friend and take good care of yourself. Love greenpeaxx

It is that time of year again when some of us are alone today and some of us have family to be with. No matter your circumstances or how you are planning on spending your day - know you are not alone - the community is here to be with you
It has certainly been a difficult year for so many, one we may never repeat again, but one we can also look back on and all feel some pride in getting through - so that deserves to be celebrated.
No matter whether you celebrate Christmas or not - what can be celebrated is the strength and courage that each and every one of us here in this community has to get through each day, face the challenges of life and still put one foot in front of the other along the way.
I, for one, am very grateful for knowing such an amazing group of people who continue to inspire me with their determination and resilience every day despite overwhelming obstacles ...and that is what I would like to celebrate today. Christmas for me is about family and that includes the family we have here in the forum community. So today I celebrate each and every one of you that makes this community the wonderful place it is and wish you all the best day possible knowing that whether you are by yourself or with others - the SANE forums community is with you.
Merry Christmas to all...
