@Appleblossom @TheVorticon @greenpea I cancelled the surgery ....after talking to private health insurance tonight....they said they contacted the private health and I wasn't covered so I am going to wait until the waiting period is over in a few months ...then I will make another appointment
I hope the hospital contacts the specialist to cancel - I have to call the hospital tomorrow - Saturday - to confirm that they did

@TheVorticon @Appleblossom @greenpea
I meant the hospital contacted private health...
I got an SMS on my phone today from hospital with the $$quote...

Good to hear from you. I wondered how you were. Best decision.
Sounds like your thoroughness paid off. Best check tomrw, as they might be better at sending invoices than cancelling ... if you know what I mean. Nobody wants unfair bills.
Take Care

@TheVorticon I am reluctant to do the surgery....I am going to get a referral to see another specialist
I need more antibiotics
The private health insurance companies make things hard ...
The hospital waited until late on Friday to tell me I wasn't covered
See what happens

@Appleblossom good idea ...best if I call the hospital and confirm I won't get invoiced🙂
I emailed the specialist at the clinic but will call them to let reception know to tell the surgeon I emailed....sometimes they don't bother to check emails I suspect

I am just getting more careful, these days, cos too many things are on automtic pilot.
I hope the delay is not a serious health or pain problem.

@Appleblossom it's not painful but it needs to be treated - it's an ongoing thing
I'll need to see another specialist
