Re: Feeling caged up

@AuntGlow my body is ok today. Chiro got it to crack really well yesterday. Back, neck and head ok today. Still got the runs. This is  because I took a harsh laxative to relieve constipation the strong painkillers gave me. Body starting to ache a little as day draws on. Too tired to go for a walk and back hurts when I walk. Pity walking is good for my back. Went for a walk this morning though. Very tired and had an early dinner. Early night for me tonight I think.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope sleep is better tonight. I hope your dinner turned out lovely 💖.

Been fluctuating between anxious and disassociation today.

@AuntGlow I will have a look at the video. I might also need to raise up the issue around not always being able to find words for how I’m feeling in therapy. I can talk till I’m blue in the face, but I still have a lot sitting with me. Sure, I’m not 100% open, but going into trauma details didn’t serve me in the past when I was with a different therapist. If I keep talking then I feel like I get stuck into loops. Still feel too much in my body

Re: Feeling caged up

Oof, you're brave! I get so spooked getting cracked!! @GezzaP

I am glad you took yourself for a walk, it's tough when movement is the thing that helps but we don't have a great amount of energy - slow is always helpful here and sleep is imperative. Definitely let your body rest.

As for digestive things in the future, torso/spinal twisting stretches can be really helpful (I can send an image if you don't know what I mean!)

I hope you get some rest tonight. 💛

Re: Feeling caged up

I had dinner early. Had antepasto, dolmades and salami as didn’t feel like cooking dead tired. Didn’t feel like cooking and still got to eat more of the chicken before I make soup. About to eat an apple with cheese. @creative_writer

Re: Feeling caged up

@AuntGlow Chiro works quicker than physio and is much cheaper. Could do with a massage as well though. Need to have dessert as still hungry. Maybe an apple with cheese. Will go to bed early and when I wake up try to read and go back to sleep.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP that’s okay, sometimes cooking can feel too much. I’ve got some meal prepping to do tomorrow, I prep for 3-4 days ahead. I don’t have lots going on right now, still unemployed. A graduate degree is hardly enough on its own to get a job

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Think I might be getting a cold or it is hay fever. Will watch ABC news then go to bed. Bought a bbq chicken ready to eat also  rack of lamb and lamb shank to cook when feel up to it. Started a novel, will take it to bed to read when I wake up to go to the toilet to try to go back to sleep instead of getting up. Hope to sleep better tonight.

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer Yes it is hard to get a job. Hope you can find one. What did you graduate in?

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope you are able to wind down. What book did you start reading?

I graduated from Master of Social Work

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer  In bed now stretching out back and neck. Listening to BBC radio. Hoping for a full night’s sleep tionight.
