I cannot tell you what to do about your family. Every family is so unique, but people do survive and manage on their own.
I started this garden at my physio cos there was only bare dirt. Not even mulch. I had been digging and propagating plants in my court garden and my geurilla garden ... lol ... so it had to be a bit of a habit. I had lots of plants to spread around. I was also upset at being blamed for not doing work, so part of it was dont tell me I dont put in ... dig ... dig ... anyway I am almost finished this one. This physio practise have appreciated it. I was way out on a limb really. Not well ... but now I feel I have a good physio. The practice manager understands, and I feel a sense of respect. They do the right thing by me. The NDIS pays them but I also put in plenty. By spring the garden will be gorgeous and irises are starting to bloom.

I dont buy anything @EternalFlower Mr Bunnings wont get rich off me! I just use whats there... leaves whatever. A while ago a girlfriend had spare mulch and we put that out.
I find I just need to be active and have various projects unfolding. Keeps me from getting too low.

Best way @Appleblossom mr bunnings can do fine without our cash!!
It is great to repurpose and to get friends to help. A hobby or project keeps me alive, so i relate!!
I made a pot recently which I use in my entry way for my keys....i am not "good" at art...i know this....but it is more about the process.

Gentle Hugs @outlander
Think you
also know how important ... the process is .... re art ... not the getting everything "perfect" or being too competitive...art in a social fashion ... is important and good for almost everybody ...
Also good if things have a purpose or are aesthetic. I watched my nanna throw pots when I lived with her as a child, and she let me have a go. I did clay stuff with my kids and had it fired at a kiln. I have an aunt who was more competitive and studied it ... and have some lovely little leaf shaped pieces for the garden .. that blend nicely with my real organic autumn leaves ....
