@GezzaP I was going to wait until it goes back to the councils if thats the way its headed i need help with housework, gardening and getting to appointments. Hopefully something can open up for us but it seems like they are getting rid of I think 300,000 people allready on the scheme. I dont know the exact numbers but they are certainly in austerity mode. I hope you can get it, I sense you really are deserving of some kind of NDIS backup support or whatever its going to be when it gets handed back to the states. Theres been too many people abusing the system like this woman has. Check her out

The states are saying they can’t afford to fill the gaps from the changes to ndis @SmilingGecko . Councils already look after part of aged care. I know there are abuses of ndis but why hurt other people doing the right thing. They are saying between 160,000 and 600,000 people will lose ndis support. They should tax millionaires and corporations to fund these programs. Yep I’m a radical leftie was one of the few in my politics dept. despite the popular view that all academics are privileged lefties. I got a modest salary. Not complaining about my salary just saying it was nothing like what people think.

@GezzaP I dont see them taxing million/billionaires because they put value into the country doing what the government wants them to. I dont see that changing. Taxation rulings are influenced solely by lobbyists with vested interests. Unfortunately disabled underclasses are just a number to governments that have to be accounted for. The ridiculous and extreme nature of NDIS providers was in plain sight - a clear abuse of taxpayers money. That woman I showed you was not an isolated case there are many more going by journalism. Just back from a walk, it was mild out there.

I don’t trust journalists @SmilingGecko . They work for corporations. The lobbyists are a Bain on society. I don’t agree that the m/billionaires are doing what governments want especially not labor governments. I am, however, to the left of labor. The closest to me are the Greens but problem is they can’t win govt unless there is a monumental shift in voting patterns. So the system has us by the short and curlies. Such is capitalism. We will destroy the planet before getting rid of it I fear.

Got to keep the GDP going somehow @GezzaP I dont like the way the planet is going either though. The governments around the world cant afford welfare. The system is buckling.

Yes they can afford welfare just look at Scandinavia and Finland @SmilingGecko . They pay decent welfare and are doing well economically. It is a myth that welfare is too expensive for governments.
